in May I have beaten quite a lot Alsophila aceraria caterpillars from Quercus robur (see photo's already on the species page). I have reared them and now they are hatching. Today I took some photo's of egg-batches covered with the females abdominal hairs, I brushed the hairs partly away so you can see the bright green eggs.
Niederlande, Nationalpark Veluwezoom, aus Stiel-Eiche (Quercus robur) geklopft, 12. Mai 2020, egg batches photographed on 22 november, females and males hatched between 9 and 20 november.
