BIDZILYA, BUDASHKIN & GAEDIKE (2016: 558): “The specific name is derived from Latin “ignoratus”—overlooked, and refers to confusion of this species with other species of E. glaseri-group.”

[genitalia slide Gaedike] Nr. 8742♂” (SMNK).” — Paratypen: 3 ♂♂ und 11 ♀♀., von den griechischen Inseln Samos und Kreta und aus der Türkei.
