Was hat diese Art mit Milben (Acari) zu tun? BENGTSSON (1997) erläutert in der Erstbeschreibung: "Due to the sclerotized Formation of stermum 7, reminiscent of a tick (belonging to the order Acari), this new species is named acarioides."
Faunistik
Nach BENGTSSON (1997) und der [Fauna Europaea] kommt die Art in Italien vor. Einziges bisher bekanntes Exemplar ist ein Weibchen mit den Daten "Calabria, Croce di Magara (Camlo), 2/6/59, leg. S. Zangheri".
