Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
BENGTSSON (1989: 78): “Scythris jaeckhi n. sp. is dedicated to the great lepidopterist Mr. Eberhard JÄCKH, Hörmannshofen, who has contributed so much to the knowledge of the European lepidopterous fauna, and especially to the family Scythrididae.”
Faunistik
Locus typicus (Holotypus und ein Paratypus): Türkei, Gümüshane, Kop Dağı Geçidi. Vier weitere Paratypen aus Griechenland, Peloponnes, Chelmos, 2200-2300 m.
BENGTSSON (1997: 77) nennt neben der Türkei und Griechenland auch Armenien als Vorkommensbereich der Art, was angesichts des Typenfundorts im Nordosten Anatoliens nicht überrascht. Die Höhenspanne der Fundorte gibt er jetzt mit 1850-2600 m an.
