Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
BENGTSSON & PASSERIN D'ENTRÈVES (1988: 26): “Etymology: Scythris lhommei n.sp. is named in honour of the great French entomologist L. Lhomme.”
Faunistik
Nach BRYNER et al. (2004) kommt die Art in der Schweiz vor. SWISSLEPTEAM (2010) führt die Art nur aus dem Wallis an. Sie wurde aus Frankreich beschrieben und wurde auch aus Spanien gemeldet.

1 ♂ labelled: France, PeyRuis, 20-5-1975, G. Langohr, BP (white label, handwritten); coll. G. R. Langohr, Acd. 1978 (white label); Gen. prep. nr. 177X ♂ Scythris lhommei n.sp., B. Å. Bengtsson (yellow label); Holotypus, Scythris lhommei Bengtsson & Passering [sic; Anm. Red. Lepiforum] d'Entrèves (red label).– Genitalia mounted on slide BÅB 177X. In. coll. Instituut voor Taxonomische Zoölogie (Zoölogisch museum) Amsterdam.” — Paratypen: 2 ♂♂ und 2 ♀♀, alle aus Frankreich.
