Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
Der Erstbeschreibung von BIDZILYA & BUDASHKIN in BIDZILYA et al. (2017) ist zu entnehmen: "The specific epithet derived from Greek “psammos”, sand, and indicates the restriction of Habitats of the species to sandy habitats."
Taxonomie
Die Autoren der Erstbeschreibung stellen ihre neue Art in die "terekholensis species group".
Faunistik
Die Art ist bisher nur aus einem sehr engen Gebiet bekannt; BIDZILYA et al. (2017) schreiben: "Southern Ukraine (Kherson Region). It is known only from type locality, Oleshky Sands in Radensk District."
