Faunistik
Locus typicus ist Chiclana in Spanien (Andalusien). Die Art war - bis zum Nachweis des Falters von der Algarve (Portugal) nur von dort bekannt.
Typenmaterial
BENGTSSON (1997: 119) legt fest: "A lectotype from the type series, preserved in ZMHB [Berlin] is hereby designated. It is labelled "Chiclana"; "Stgr."; "Typus". Genitalia on slide Ha 106. A female specimen from same series is a paralectotype. The following Labels are pinned on ist needle: "12/4 [1858]" (beige Label); "Origin." (rose); "Chiclana m." (pale green); "Ge.prep.nr 536X f. Scythris pulicella Stgr. B Å BENGTSSON" (yellow); Paralectotypus Butalis pulicella Stgr. f. Design. 28.viii.1994 B Å BENGTSSON" (red)."
