BENGTSSON (1997) erläutert seine Namensgebung: "This species is dedicated to the first collector of this species, the Danish lepidopterist Bjarne Skule."

Faunistik
Nach der [Fauna Europaea] kommt die Art in Griechenland vor. Der Holotypus und neun Paratypen wurden im Taygetos-Gebirge (Peloponnes) gesammelt, sieben im Parnassos (BENGTSSON 1997).
