Wärmeliebende Art des Mittelmeerraumes. Falter und Raupe von Frühjahr bis Herbst. Raupe an Wein- (Vitis sp.) und Jungfernrebe (Parthenocissus sp.), Puppe überwintert, verträgt aber keinen Frost.
