Aus Europa anscheinend unbekannt. NA et al. (2017) melden den Erstnachweis für Korea und erläutern im Kommentar: "Host plant. Dioscorea japonica Tunb., D. gracillima Miq. and D. tokoro Makino ex Miyabe in Japan (Yamauchi & Hirowatari, 2013)." Wenn die Art auf Dioscoreaceae beschränkt ist, müsste sie in Europa an Tamus communis (Schmerwurz) leben.

Faunistik
Locus typicus ist das Große Hinggan-Gebirge (Chingan) im nördlichen China. Locus typicus des Synonyms Ypsolopha lonicerella ist Worochta in den Ost-Karpaten. Die Art ist aus Europa nur von der Slowakei, Ungarn und Rumänien, sowie neuerdings Nord-Italien bekannt.
